If you sell, advertise or publish for the US market, the first thing a platform checks is where your request came from. A server in a datacenter looks like a server; a residential exit in Los Angeles or Columbus looks like a customer. That difference decides whether you see the real price, the real stock level and the real search result — or a block page.
What we hold in the US
Two separate products, two different billing units. Static ISP addresses are yours for as long as you keep them: over 2,500 US IPs were in stock on 3 November 2026, sold per IP per month. Residential traffic draws from a pool that covers the whole country with state and city targeting, billed by gigabyte. Both are consumer ISP addresses, not hosting ranges.
Three products, three jobs
| Product | Billing | IP behaviour | Fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| US residential | $1/GB+, by traffic | Rotates per request or per session | Bulk collection, price monitoring, SERP, ad verification |
| US static ISP | $3/IP/mo, $2 from 15 | Fixed for the term | Seller accounts, social profiles, long-lived logins |
| US datacenter | $1/GB, 100 GB minimum | Rotates per request | High concurrency, unprotected targets, large downloads |
Pricing
Traffic does not expire and is not tied to an IP count; upload and download both count, 1 GB = 1000 MB. Datacenter is billed by traffic, not per IP — and because its ASN says "hosting provider", it is the wrong tool for a marketplace that runs bot detection.
Targeting a state or a city
Location lives in the username, so the endpoint and port never change. This runs as written:
# US · California · Los Angeles · sticky for 30 minutes
curl -x "http://ACCOUNT-country-us-state-ca-city-losangeles-sid-Test01-stime-30:PASSWORD@GATEWAY:PORT" \
https://ipinfo.io/json
# Python: a fresh US exit on every request
import requests, uuid
def us_proxy():
user = "ACCOUNT-country-us-sid-" + uuid.uuid4().hex[:12]
p = "http://%s:PASSWORD@GATEWAY:PORT" % user
return {"http": p, "https": p}
r = requests.get("https://ipinfo.io/json", proxies=us_proxy(), timeout=30)
print(r.json()["city"], r.json()["org"])
Codes are lowercase and city names drop their spaces: newyork, losangeles, sanfrancisco, chicago. Leave out
stime for rotation; include it (1–120 minutes) with a sid when the workflow needs to
stay on one IP.
What people use US proxies for
Amazon US
Product pages, Buy Box ownership, review velocity, A+ content and price by ZIP code.
eBay, Walmart, DTC sites
Local pricing, stock and shipping rules without geo-personalisation skewing the data.
Google US SERPs
The result a US user actually sees: rankings, ad slots, People Also Ask, local packs.
Ad verification
Check creative delivery, landing page integrity and geo-targeting from the city you bought.
TikTok and social accounts
One stable US exit per account, isolated in an antidetect browser profile.
Content and catalogue checks
Regional catalogues, subtitles and availability. Playback itself remains the platform's call.
How this differs from a VPN or a free list
| US residential proxy | Typical VPN | Free public proxy | |
|---|---|---|---|
| IP type | Consumer ISP, large and dispersed | Datacenter, shared by many users | Unknown origin, usually already abused |
| Targeting | Country / state / city | Country only in most cases | None |
| Rotation | Per request, unlimited concurrency | One fixed exit | Unstable |
| Data safety | Authenticated, dedicated tunnel | Depends on the provider | Plaintext can be logged |
| Use for | Automation, multi-account, ad checks | Personal access to geo-blocked content | Nothing commercial |
Setup in five steps
- Create an account and open Proxy → Residential or Static ISP in the console.
- Residential: pick country us, then state and city, set the sticky window, generate credentials.
- Static ISP: choose the US, order the number of IPs you need, collect them under My IPs.
- Paste the credential into your script, antidetect browser or client, and confirm the exit with ipinfo.io.
- Run 200–500 requests against your real target, then decide whether to add traffic or add IPs.
Responsible use
A proxy changes the origin of a request, not what you are allowed to do with it. Collect only public data you have a right to access, respect the target's terms and robots directives, keep request rates within what a human could plausibly generate, and do not use residential exits for fraud, credential stuffing or evading a sanction you have already received. Compliance with the platforms you operate on is the user's responsibility.
Frequently asked questions
How much do US proxies cost at IPLight?
Residential traffic starts at $1 per GB billed by usage with no monthly fee. US static ISP addresses are $3 per IP per month, dropping to $2 from 15 IPs. Datacenter traffic is $1 per GB with a 100 GB minimum. Live rates are shown in the console.
Can I target a specific US state or city?
Yes on the residential pool: pass country-us together with state and city in the username, for example country-us-state-ca-city-losangeles. Static ISP inventory is allocated per location — check the console for what is available in the state you need.
How many US static IPs do you hold?
Over 2,500 US static ISP addresses were in stock on 3 November 2026. Inventory changes as customers order, so treat the console as the source of truth rather than this page.
Will a US proxy get my Amazon or TikTok account banned?
A proxy only changes where the request comes from. Bans usually follow behaviour: dozens of accounts on one IP, request rates no human could produce, or an IP whose country, timezone and language disagree with the rest of the profile. One stable exit per account, human-paced requests and consistent environment parameters is the pattern that holds. We make no promise about any platform's enforcement decisions.
Do free US proxy lists work?
Not for production. Public free exits are heavily abused and already sit on reputation lists, which is the fastest way to link accounts together. They can also read every plaintext request you send. A few dollars of paid traffic is cheaper than a banned seller account.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP and SOCKS5 where the gateway supports it, with username and password authentication. Antidetect browsers, Python, Node, Scrapy, Playwright and Puppeteer all connect with the same credential string.
How do I test before buying volume?
Top up a small amount, call https://ipinfo.io/json with the generated credential and confirm the ip, city and org point at a US consumer ISP. Then run 200–500 requests against your real target and compute your own success rate and cost per usable page.
Run 200 real requests before you commit
Residential from $1/GB, static ISP from $2/IP per month at 15 IPs, no monthly commitment.
